Heavy Violet
#4f566c
Muted purple-gray for restful, less-blue violet surfaces
About Heavy Violet
Heavy Violet feels like a late-night panel label that's been given structure. It's not the deep, glassy cool of Deep Indigo, and it doesn't go as muted and settled as Dusk. This one reads more balanced: a rich violet base with just enough softness in the lightness to avoid the sharper indigo backbone, while staying clearly purple rather than sliding toward steel-blue.
I reach for it in interface states where you want authority without the "urgent" lean: modal headers, secondary action buttons, and chart callouts inside dashboards and finance apps. It also works well for creator tooling like timeline sidebars and analytics filters, where the color has to sit next to blues and grays and still stay unmistakably purple-forward. Compared to Admiral Blue, it keeps more violet character and feels slightly warmer, so it doesn't disappear into the background as quickly.
Pair it with crisp off-whites or lighter violets for hierarchy. If you stack it with heavy gray, it can start to feel a touch heavy and flat, so give it some breathing contrast.
