Deep Indigo
#4c567a
Lower-light indigo violet for dense, high-contrast panels
About Deep Indigo
I keep coming back to Deep Indigo because it looks like late-evening ink trapped under a glassy UI overlay. It's deeper than Freshly Purpleized, but it doesn't float. And compared to Dusk, it's cleaner and more deliberate, less muted, more saturated, with that crisp indigo backbone rather than a heavier dusk haze.
This is the purple I use when the interface needs cool, settled depth without tipping into steel-blue territory. It shows up well in media playback controls and creator dashboards where the active state should feel precise, not urgent. I also like it in editorial sidebars for long-form sites and in data-heavy products that want dashboards and finance apps to feel controlled, not warm or earthy. Where Admiral Blue can start to disappear on lighter fields, Deep Indigo holds its line while still staying restrained.
Pair it with off-whites or lighter violets for hierarchy, and avoid too much gray alongside it or the contrast can start to feel flat.
