Peat Brown
#5a3d29
Muted peat brown for grounded yellow-brown accents
About Peat Brown
Peat Brown looks like the underside of a well-used paper bag. Not shiny, not washed out, just a grounded brown with a quiet yellow-brown cast that keeps it from going red or going flat gray.
Compared to Irish Coffee, it's less red and more earthy, so it doesn't feel "steeped" in that beverage warmth. Compared to Grilled, it's deeper and less toast-cooked, with lower flash and more peat-like depth. And next to Chocolate Fantasies, it carries more warmth through its undertone, but stays muted instead of turning fully chocolate-solid.
I use it for brand and packaging work around tea, cider, and smoked pantry goods when you want earthy warmth without drifting copper. In UI it's strong for labels, table accents, and card surfaces where the background needs to feel grounded, not heavy. Quick watch-out: it can feel a bit somber next to bright lemony yellows, so keep your pairings slightly richer or give it more breathing room.
