About Lake Lucerne
I keep seeing Lake Lucerne as that midlight blue you'd pick if you want a view that feels open but not airy. It's notably less gray-washed than Grauzone, so it keeps its blue identity, and it doesn't carry the same reserved, almost withdrawn mood. Compared to Canadian Tuxedo, it feels a touch cooler and more watery, with a softer saturation that reads smoother at a glance.
For UI, it's my go-to in places that need clarity without looking aggressive: SaaS dashboards and fintech product surfaces, health and telemedicine screens, and chart strokes for trends that should stay secondary. It holds up as an accent on light backgrounds, but it also works when you need cards, tab highlights, and empty-state illustrations to feel steady rather than urgent.
One caution: because it's gentler than the more punchy middle blues, don't expect it to anchor a full background by itself. Pair it with crisper neutrals, or it can blur into the layout when everything else is also muted.
