Knit Cardigan
#6d6c5f
Softer mid gray knit warmth, less dusty
About Knit Cardigan
Put Knit Cardigan on a swatch board and you can feel the difference immediately. It reads like a soft, knit-wrapped mid gray with a gentle, slightly lifted lightness, not the sturdier dustiness of Organic and not the brown-warmed depth of Archaeology.
Compared with Armoury, it doesn't pull back into cooler restraint. Knit Cardigan stays steadier and more tactile, so UI chrome and surfaces look handled without turning earthy. I keep it for admin consoles in logistics and transportation, banking-style form layouts, and inventory screens where the background has to support dense labels. It's my background gray for dense tables and calm hierarchy, the one that won't look heavy beside near-whites.
Pair it with clean off-whites and low-sheen charcoals; if you put it next to very green-leaning grays, it can start to feel a touch warmer than you intended.
