Flying Carpet
#787489
Soft medium mauve-lavender for calmer interfaces
About Flying Carpet
Flying Carpet looks like a slightly muted purple pulled off a woven rug: not chalky, not blue-tilted, just smooth and steady. Compared to Bureaucracy, it doesn't sink back or go institutional and flat. Compared to Aster, it keeps a cleaner, less dusty softness. And next to English Manor, it feels a touch more lifted and less panel-room serious.
I reach for the one you reach for when UI needs purple that reads confident but not aggressive, especially in dashboards and finance apps where links, active states, and filter chips should feel "set" rather than playful. It also works well for admin-style media thumbnails, credit product flows, and internal tooling where you want focus without that colder, tech-forward edge.
Pair it with warm off-whites or light greys, and it stays composed. Push it against very deep purples like Bureaucracy and it can lose contrast fast, so give it a brighter neighbor or a lighter background.
