Muted mauve-violet bridge between nymph and carpet tones
About Vintage
Vintage reads like a softened plum note on worn paper. It's clearly purple, but the saturation is dialed back and the tone feels more earthy than the brighter, film-like Purple Haze. Compared with Nymph's Delight, it gives up some of that daylight clarity and leans a bit more weighty. And unlike Flying Carpet's smooth, slightly dusty steadiness, Vintage feels warmer and more lived-in, not just muted.
I use it when the UI needs a vintage-leaning accent for places that should feel handled, not clinical. Think publishing and music apps for section headers, media credits, and card headings near neutral panels. In fintech dashboards, it works as the one you reach for when the rest of the interface is cool and you want purple without tipping into cold tech. It's also great for settings and profile screens in retail and telecom where the purple should signal "info" more than "action."
Quirk: with very deep purples, it can look calmer and slightly less contrasty, so I usually balance it with a lighter companion or a clearer highlight.
