Magic Magenta
#7f4774
Magenta-forward pink with crisp, medium-deep punch
About Magic Magenta
I keep seeing Magic Magenta land between "punchy" and "plum-mauve" on my mockups, but it never fully commits to either. It's a medium-dark pink with a taut, slightly smoky clarity, and the undertone reads more magenta than grape. Compared to Grape Kiss, it feels less grape-lilac and less deep-stained; compared to Grape Candy, it's calmer and less candy-bright; compared to Bruise, it holds its saturation instead of going compressed and desaturated.
This is the one you reach for when you want magenta energy without the heat of hot pink. I use it for dashboards and product states like selected tabs, focus highlights, and compact status pills where the UI needs confidence but not loudness. It also shows up well in creator tools for emphasis rings, and in editorial motion graphics as a dependable accent that stays readable on dark and medium backgrounds.
If your layout leans purple, Magic Magenta can start to look flat. Pair it with warm neutrals or espresso tones to keep the magenta edge forward rather than dusty.
