Midnight Aubergine

Deep cool mauve purple for restrained contrast
About Midnight Aubergine
Midnight Aubergine looks like a bruise's quieter cousin, but it doesn't go fully desaturated. On my screens it reads deep aubergine with a velvet-smooth undertone, more lavender-pink than the skin-after-impact compression of Bruise. And compared with Grape Kiss and Magic Magenta, it feels less like a dyed stain and more like a deliberate, inked-in shade: more subdued than the plum-pinks nearby, yet not smoky or magenta-forward the way those do.
I use it in places where you want pink to feel intentional without turning into an attention grabber. Think dashboards for health and education platforms, product detail pages for "focused" states that should stay calm, and email or CMS templates that need secondary highlights to sit politely on darker neutrals. It's the one you reach for when the UI needs depth and separation, not punch.
Pair it with warm blacks, deep espresso, or soft oat grays. Cool grays can flatten the eggplant note and make it look a bit too stiff.
