Purple Pleasures
#81459e
Deeper berry violet that stays cozy not cool
About Purple Pleasures
I keep Purple Pleasures in my back pocket when I need a purple that looks like dyed fabric, not marker ink. It's richer than Royal Lavender, with a deeper, more velvety read, but it doesn't slide into the muddier territory of the grapes-toned end of the family.
Compared to Prophet Violet, this one feels a touch lighter and more lifted, with less stern structure and more smooth mid-tone comfort. I use it for dashboards and finance apps when selected rows, filter pills, or focus rings need to feel confident without turning heavy. It also shows up well in creator workflows for clip flags and review queues where you want the one you reach for when the UI already has plenty of saturated accents. For media products, it works nicely on thumbnails and progress states that need a clear, cohesive purple without the dustier mulberry cast.
Pair it with crisp off-whites or cool grays, and avoid stacking it next to warmer purples that can make it look flatter by comparison.
