Red Devil
#860111
Fiery red-orange edge, warmer than dark maroon
About Red Devil
I think of Red Devil as the red you notice when everyone else is leaning orange or wine. It's a deep, saturated red with just enough heat to stay assertive, but the undertone doesn't go garnet or purple. Compared to Bloodthirsty, it doesn't feel pulled inward and cold. Compared to Kiss of a Vampire, it's less bruised and less lipstick-thick. And next to Dark Red, it reads clearer and more controlled, not lacquer-shadow-muted.
For me it's the one you reach for when you want urgency in orange-family territory without drifting into rust or that darker, wine-like mood. I use it in dark-mode interfaces for admin tools, logistics portals, and playback controls where the red has to pop without turning smoky. It also holds up on product packaging and signage for industrial safety labels and hardware brands that need "stop" energy but still want a clean, modern look.
Pair it with near-black, cool grays, and hard-edged typography. If you drop it on warm creams, it can start to look heavier than you intended.
