Jack and Coke
#920f0e
Smoked cola orange-red, softer than Cayenne's earth
About Jack and Coke
Jack and Coke reads like the moment a deep red-orange turns the lights down just a notch, then keeps talking. It's cocoa-tinted red-orange with a slightly drink-dark mood, not the hotter rust snap of Cayenne and not the urgent, cleaner red bite of Emergency.
Design-wise, this is the shade I use for UI moments that need "serious" without feeling industrial and heavy. You'll see it in packaging and product labels for spirits and bold snacks, and in dashboards where a status has to be noticeable but not frantic. It sits farther up the warmth ladder than Brick Red, yet it's not as brown-leaning and settled, so it doesn't feel like a static, institutional red.
One caution: on very warm creams it can look a touch more brown than you expect, so I'd sanity-check it against the exact shelf color or background you'll print on. Pair it with charcoal, ink-black, or cool greiges so the orange stays legible.
