Gazelle
#947e68
Earthy yellow-brown with olive-leaning calm
About Gazelle
Gazelle reads like sun-warmed hide, but a little calmer than most "yellow-brown" tones. It's light enough to feel airy, yet it doesn't wash out. The undertone stays pleasantly earthy, leaning warm and soft rather than toasted-strong.
Compared to Café au Lait, Gazelle holds more presence and a slightly cleaner saturation, so it feels less muted and more "ready to label" on a UI. Against Caramelised Pecan, it's lighter and less forceful, more companion-color than caramel bite. And unlike Forbidden Peanut, it avoids that drier, mustardy skin vibe, coming off smoother and more inviting than pantry-controlled browns.
I use it for food and beverage menus, hospitality booking flows, and editorial card backgrounds where you want warmth without stealing focus. Pair it with cream or warm grays; if you drop it onto cooler neutrals, the difference shows up fast. It's the one you reach for when you need warmth without heaviness, especially in hospitality platforms.
