Grape Riot
#9b4682
Deep grape mauve with cooler, richer saturation
About Grape Riot
I think of Grape Riot as the plum-leaning cousin of berry pinks, the one that looks like it has a little ink behind it. It's noticeably deeper than Grape Candy and less bruised than Feminism, so it doesn't read as laid-back or fuzzy. Against Bermuda Onion, it feels cooler and more composed, with its purple tone staying crisp instead of turning warm and friendly.
On screens, I use it when I want pink that still holds its line in tight UI. It's my go-to for primary buttons and status badges in creator tools, cosmetics and skincare education pages, and health or lifestyle apps where the accent needs to feel unmistakably pink without flirting with fuchsia heat. I also like it for podcast page CTAs, editorial deck headers, and product feature tags, because it lands brighter than mauve whispers but less loud than the hot-pink end.
Quick pairing note: if you stack it next to pale lilacs it can look heavier than the background. Warm creams or deeper mauves keep it from feeling too "inked in."
