Purple Excellency
#943589
Deeper, warmer violet-magenta for confident contrast
About Purple Excellency
I picture Purple Excellency like a velvet interior wall lightened just enough that the purple feels clean, not bruised. It lands between grape-mauve calm and inked plum depth, but it reads more poised and polished than the cooler violet ink of Purple Ink, and less turned down than Prunella's gray-blushed softness.
For me it's the one you reach for when you want a royal-leaning accent that stays unmistakably purple without becoming hot-magenta. It's strong in dashboards and finance apps for emphasized filters, key metric states, and "approved" highlights where you need authority but not harshness. In video and music editors, I use it for selection outlines on primary clips, timeline markers, and feature callouts. Compared with Grape Riot, it's a touch lighter and smoother, so the UI feels refined instead of ink-heavy.
One quirk: on very pale backgrounds it can look slightly "too smooth," so pair it with deeper text or richer neutrals to keep the edge crisp.
