Orion Nebula
#a55af4
Darker, warmer purple violet anchor for depth
About Orion Nebula
Orion Nebula looks like purple light caught between a bright screen and a night sky. Compared to Magento's punch and Candy Grape Fizz's grape-candy swagger, this one feels more focused and slightly more muted. It's also not as soft and airy as Lavender, so you get presence without that airy drift toward pale lilac.
I use Orion Nebula when the interface needs a confident purple that still reads "refined" on dark surfaces. Think media streaming progress states, creator dashboard filters, and design-system component accents where you want selection, hover emphasis, and secondary highlights to stay legible. It sits in the space between deep seriousness and loud magenta, which makes it a good primary purple when the others feel either too energetic or too candy-forward.
Pair it with near-neutrals or cool gray backdrops, and watch how it leans just a bit more cool than Magento, so you don't end up with an overly warm block of color.
