About Heartbeat

Heartbeat looks like a red pulse caught mid-beat, not a full-on warning light. It has that same confident red identity as the others in this family, but it sits a touch more controlled and even. Compared to , it doesn't sink into heat-dense depth, and compared to Büchel , it keeps the red character cleaner instead of drifting into a warmer, almost -adjacent tone. It's lighter and steadier than , so it reads as intent, not escalation.

I use Heartbeat for commerce and entertainment UIs where you want "tap me" energy without the heavy spice. It works in streaming platform controls, gaming overlays, and event promo cards, especially as a primary button or featured badge on light surfaces. It also holds up in media players and editorial highlights when you need emphasis that feels more red than orange, unlike Büchel 's softer warmth.

Pair it with crisp neutrals, then let it breathe. On cream, it can start to feel a bit more rosy, so I'll usually tighten the surrounding grays if the layout starts to go appetite-colored. The one you reach for when you want urgency with restraint.
