Falafel
#aa7711
Golden ochre-leaning green for higher-contrast warmth
About Falafel
Falafel reads like a toasted, earthy green-brown that's not trying to be olive and not trying to be gold. It has enough lightness to feel friendly, but the saturation stays focused, so it comes off as warm, nutty, and deliberate rather than muddy.
I use it when I want green energy in a brown-ish direction, especially in food packaging systems, craft and wellness brands, and editorial UI where browns otherwise turn flat. It also holds up in product marketing pages and content management dashboards that need "human" warmth without slipping into the heavier heat of Bronze or the spice-forward presence of Chai Tea. Compared to Arrowwood, Falafel stays more balanced in temperature, so it doesn't swing cooler at larger sizes.
Pair it with cream, deep cocoa, or even a muted teal accent if you want contrast that feels natural. Let it lead on badges, section headers, or product tiles, then keep the supporting grays cooler so the undertone doesn't blur into the background.
