Not yet Caramel
#b1714c
Lighter caramel rose-brown, softer than Bourbon
About Not yet Caramel
Not yet Caramel looks like a jarred syrup that never quite darkened. It's a medium, honeyed brown with a softer, lighter feel than the deeper browns around it, and it doesn't carry the coppery metallic confidence you'd expect from richer tones.
In practice, I use it when I want caramel warmth without the heaviness. It reads friendly on food and beverage packaging labels, especially when you need a background that feels sweet but controlled. In UI, it works as card containers, secondary buttons, and section headers where you want the one you reach for between "plain cream" and "too brown." Compared to Bourbon and Brown Sugar, it's less saturated and less burnt, so it won't grab attention the way they do at full bleed.
If you pair it with cool grays, it can flatten. I like it next to warm creams and soft sand tones, where the butter-to-caramel undertone stays intact.
