Upset Tomato

Deeper, more saturated tomato red for alert panels
About Upset Tomato
Upset Tomato looks like a fresh stop sign under slightly dim, overcast light. It's red-orange, but it doesn't feel friendly or earthy. Compared to Bloodshed's heavy, flattened punch, this one stays more lively and rounded. And unlike Toadstool's softened, wine-lean calm, Upset Tomato keeps its edge crisp and readable.
I reach for it in purchase and checkout flows where you need a nudge without making the whole interface feel medical. It works in retail alerts and ticketing UIs for "action required" states, especially on badges, error chips, and inline status labels. If you place it beside Brick by Brick, you'll notice this shade is less clay-warm and more assertive, with a touch more saturation holding the spotlight.
Quick heads-up: on very warm backgrounds it can start to look a bit rosy, so keep at least one cooler neutral around. Pair it with deep charcoal or clean white for the cleanest read.
