Grey Sheep

Grey Sheep sits lighter than Cold Turkey and less fussy about balance than Cortex. It's got enough presence to work as a background without the visual weight that makes Cold Turkey feel like it's anchoring something. The warmth is there, just subdued enough that it doesn't read as a choice, it reads as neutral.

This is the shade for interfaces where you need a soft-spoken background that doesn't disappear. Product dashboards, reading-heavy layouts, long-form content in publishing apps, the kind of color that works harder than it looks because it gets out of the way without vanishing. Type reads cleanly. Photography doesn't fight it. It's lighter than Dangerous Robot's flatness, so it carries a quieter mood while still holding the space.

The thing: it's close enough in temperature to work with both warm and cool accents, but test it against your actual type first. Pair it with darker text and it reads more refined than with lighter grays, which is where you'll feel the difference between this and its neighbors.
