Muted Mauve

Dusty mauve-gray for soft, cooler skin-tone palettes
About Muted Mauve
Muted Mauve is the gray I notice when a UI background has that slight blush of restraint. It feels softer and more tailored than Mushroom, but less beige-leaning and cleaner than Martini. Compared to Grey Marble, it's clearly warmer and a touch more saturated, with a mauve undertone that keeps it from reading like flat stone.
I use it where the interface should feel calm but not characterless: fashion and lifestyle product pages, editorial CMS layouts, and media sites that need neutral surfaces behind captions and controls. It also works well in onboarding flows and settings screens when you want soft structure with less "dust" than Mushroom and more personality than the cooler grays in the set. Pair it with near-black text and muted cool accents so the mauve stays controlled.
One quirk: next to very pale creams, it can look slightly pink. If that's not the mood, keep companion neutrals on the cooler side.
