About Harlock’s Cape

I keep seeing Harlock's Cape as that deep red with an orange heartbeat, but it doesn't go as dark-dense as . It's not the bright, urgent cut of either. This one sits higher in lightness than and reads tighter, more controlled, with a saturated warm undertone that holds its shape instead of loosening.

For me it's the one you reach for when red needs presence without the warning vibe. Think luxury packaging and brand accents on dark photography, or editorial headers where you want "serious red" that doesn't turn muddy next to cream. In UI, it works in dark mode toggles, commerce purchase states, and subscription banners where the orange-lean keeps it from feeling corporate-cold. It also prints cleanly on uncoated stocks that tend to swallow other reds.

Quirk: on very warm creams it can edge slightly flat, so I'll pair it with charcoal text, deep navy, or rich browns to keep the red from settling.
