Rural Red
#bb1144
Earthy, matte brick red for rugged accents
About Rural Red
Rural Red reads like raw clay pulled fresh from the ground, not a dressed-up wine. It's a medium-dark red with a steady, dusty weight, and it doesn't slip cool the way Fancy Red Wine does or get the cherry-ink warmth of M. Bison.
I use it for field-ready alerts in logistics, construction, and agriculture product dashboards, where the UI needs to feel firm and grounded instead of "medical-grade warning" or "high-drama stop." It also shows up well on signage-style labels inside maintenance portals and inventory screens, because the saturation lands crisp without going too maroon. Compared with the brighter, mint-leaning Minted Blueberry Lemonade, Rural Red stays more fully red, less lively and more anchored.
Quick caution: on cream backgrounds it can feel a little stern, so I like it with neutral grays or soft whites that aren't too warm. Pairing it with cool neutrals keeps it from drifting toward a tired, brick-red mood.
