Warlord
#ba0033
Heavier, darker crimson-orange for high-impact states
About Warlord
Warlord reads like a red that's been pushed heavier and slightly dirtied, not by darkness, but by a strong, steady body. Compared with Hot Cuba, it doesn't feel as heat-forward or punchy. Compared with Akai Red and Hinomaru Red, it keeps more orange warmth and less razor-clean precision, so it won't sit there as a "pure" red. It's red with weight, the kind of shade that looks deliberate even at small sizes.
I use it for high-priority UI states in platforms where errors have to feel forceful without turning alarm-bright. It's also great for retail media overlays and product QA graphics where you want immediate contrast against neutrals. In editorial layouts, it works when you need a the one you reach for shade that still looks consistent next to gold, tan, and warm grays.
Quick quirk: on very light creams it can skew more orange than you expect, so I usually pair it with cooler blacks or charcoal to keep it from creeping toward the neighbors.
