Pixel Bleeding
#bb0022
Deep crimson-orange that bleeds warmer than Nippon
About Pixel Bleeding
Pixel Bleeding looks like a red that got nudged slightly toward orange, then kept its cool. On screen it reads denser and heavier than Hinomaru Red, but it never goes wine or wine-cold the way Nippon can. Compared to Akai Red, you still get warmth, but less "true red" discipline and more body, so it feels like it takes up space instead of just marking it.
I use it for high-contrast warnings that still need to feel product-forward, like commerce and payments UIs, shipping or warehouse dashboards, and system states in consumer fintech. It's also a good fit for thumbnail and lower-third accents in streaming graphics when you want urgency without tipping into the deeper, smoldery lane. The one you reach for when the red needs to stay readable on dark UI panels while retaining that warm pull.
Quirk: on very warm creams it can creep further orange and feel less "primary," so I keep it paired with neutral grays or whites that don't lean yellow.
