Cotton Clouds
#c2e1ec
Soft blue-gray highlight with cottony calm
About Cotton Clouds
Cotton Clouds is the middle child here, softer and warmer than Breaking the Ice, but without the pale vanishing act of Cloudless. It's got actual color in it, a blue that sits somewhere between denim fabric and overcast sky, the kind you can land on and have it stay put across different screens.
You'll reach for this in product dashboards, SaaS settings pages, and health app backgrounds where you need cool without cold, approachable without disappearing. It works in fintech interfaces that want to feel calm rather than clinical, onboarding flows that need breathing room, or anywhere you're layering UI and don't want your background color fighting for attention. Unlike Alpine, it won't glow at you. Unlike Cloudless, it won't shift into near-white depending on your monitor's temperature.
Pair it with dark slate or charcoal for contrast that lands clean. It's less saturated than Breaking the Ice but carries more presence, which means it actually earns the space you give it.
