About King of Waves
On my monitor, King of Waves reads like a calm mist sitting just a step darker than the pale blues in this family. It has that watery lift, but it doesn't float as close to white as Breath of Fresh Air, and it doesn't announce a cool bias like Bird Bath Blue does.
I reach for King of Waves in dashboards, media sites, and design-heavy SaaS where you need a soft-gray surface that still holds edges. It's great for card backgrounds, secondary panels, and quiet table headers that should feel clean without turning the UI into near-white soup. Compared to Getting Wet, this one is a bit lighter and less saturated, so it separates content with less weight.
Pair it with deep slate text and a touch of crisp white, and it stays controlled. If you go too far toward warm accents, it can start to feel slightly washed out instead of airy.
