About On Cloud Nine

On Cloud Nine looks like that soft blue you see on a bright morning sky right after the clouds thin out. It's airy and pale, but it doesn't go gray or drift fully into off-white. Compared to the teal-leaning Cold Wave, this one stays more purely blue in tone, and unlike Icy Breeze it holds a touch more weight, so it doesn't feel quite as weightless.

This is the background color I use for SaaS settings pages and customer-facing portals when I want a calm, friendly surface that still feels designed. It's also a strong pick for welcome states and onboarding screens in education platforms and wellness apps, where you need clarity without the neutrality of a blank canvas. The mood reads lighter and more "buoyant" than Gentle Cold, which sits a bit more composed and muted.

Quirk: because it's so light, pair it with crisp borders or deeper panels so it doesn't blur into the surrounding whites. Charcoal or slate works, and so does a slightly stronger blue-gray for UI hierarchy.
