Swan Lake
#c5e5e2
Softer, cooler cyan tint for airy UI panels
About Swan Lake
On my monitor, Swan Lake looks like a pale pool of sea-glass blue that's been left in daylight a little longer. It's still light, but it doesn't feel crisp or icy like Polar Expedition, and it doesn't sit in that calm, in-between "just visible" zone of Gentle Cold. Compared to Tropical Mist, it reads less teal-cyan and more softly blue, with a touch more warmth in the undertone.
I reach for Swan Lake when the UI needs a gentle reset without turning gray. It works well for health and wellness onboarding screens, training modules, and the background areas of dashboards and finance-style interfaces where you want clarity, not chill. It also behaves nicely in customer portals for education and support teams, especially when the page has lots of white space and you don't want the header or cards to feel detached.
One note: because it's softer than the Polar Expedition kind of clean, I'll usually pair it with deeper blue-gray borders and charcoal text so hierarchy stays obvious. This is the one you reach for when "fresh and light" matters more than "frozen and crisp."
