About Tropical Mist
Tropical Mist reminds me of the first minute after you open a cool office door and the air feels slightly damp. It's a pale cyan with a soft, clean surface, but it never slips into the slightly gray/off-white zone that some light blues do. Compared to On Cloud Nine, it's a touch less airy and less sky-pure; you feel a bit more color depth. Compared with Gentle Cold, it stays cooler overall and reads more teal-cyan than green-calm.
I use it when the UI needs to look finished without looking heavy: SaaS settings pages, customer-facing portals, and admin screens that have a lot going on behind the scenes. It also works nicely for education and wellness onboarding, especially when you want friendly clarity without the "fresh wipe" delicacy of Sprinkled With Dew. The mood lands as a calmer, cooler background than Glacial Drift-adjacent blues, but with enough saturation to keep it from feeling ghosted.
Quirk: pair it with crisp borders or a slightly deeper blue-gray panel so your sections don't blend together. It's the one you reach for when lightness matters, but neutrality would make the layout look unfinished.
