About Yeti Footprint
Yeti Footprint is the kind of light gray you see when a boot print shows up on pale concrete at dawn. It's not an ice-white, and it doesn't drift as blue as the "watery" options. Compared to Skinny Dippin', it feels slightly cleaner and more settled, with less of that cool, sunscreen-like crispness. Compared to Zen, it reads a touch less neutral and more decisively gray, so the surface structure holds without turning flat.
I use Yeti Footprint for secondary panels where you want separation that still feels airy: card backgrounds in healthcare apps, table headers and filter strips in media sites, and the quieter side of UI in SaaS dashboards that are meant to stay out of the way. It also works well for form surfaces in analytics tools when the main canvas is very bright.
One quirk: next to warm accents it can look a little bluish, so I usually pair it with deeper slate text or a warmer off-white spacing token to keep the tone consistent.
