Pastel mauve-leaning magenta for softer highlights
About Fake Love
"Fake Love" is the pink I notice on a warning badge that still wants to look playful. It's light enough to stay airy, but it doesn't turn soft like Bubblegum Baby Girl. Compared to Barbiecore, it lacks that deep, hot punch and doesn't feel like it's trying to dominate the screen. The undertone sits closer to magenta, so it lands cooler than the warm, showy look of Barbiecore, with a slightly more teasing, synthetic edge.
I reach for it in fashion and beauty layouts when the CTAs need to read instantly without going full neon confidence. It's great for hero tiles in music and video discovery and for mobile UI highlights where you want color to pop off clean cards without the "hot" temperature shift you get from deeper Barbiecore. You can also use it for empty-state prompts and secondary actions in consumer apps that shouldn't feel harsh.
One quirk: keep it off very bright whites for long stretches. It can feel a touch slippery next to stark backgrounds, so use a calmer off-white or a tinted surface for stability.
