About Desert
On my mockups, Desert reads like sun-faded brass that's lost its sheen. It's lighter than Gold Digger, but less "coin-bright" and more dusty, with a muted, sandy undertone that keeps it from turning into the louder yellow territory of Cheese Wiz.
I reach for this when I want a Green-family accent that feels sun-warmed and settled, not earthy-brown like Canadian Maple, and not high-contrast gold like Cheese Wiz. It shows up in retail and outdoor brands, especially on product tiles, seasonal promo banners, and UI highlights for badges or secondary calls in consumer finance flows. It also behaves well for editorial section markers where you need warmth without stealing focus from photos.
One quirk: Desert stays comfortable on light surfaces, but it can look a bit thin next to very pale creams. If that happens, give it a darker olive or charcoal neighbor so the sand undertone has something to stand on.
