Light, cool lavender-lilac for airy overlays
About Sweet Lucid Dreams
Sweet Lucid Dreams reads like a light, lilac-tinted haze that still feels orderly, not chalky. Put it behind a card header and you can see it immediately, but it stays polite. Compared to New Love, it's a touch more dreamy and less "fresh and crisp," with less creamy lift. Compared with York Plum, it's notably airier and doesn't sink into that studio-lit plum depth. And next to Girl Crush, it comes off a bit more luminous and less pressed-paper mauve.
I use it when I want a purple background that looks soft but intentional in product UI. Think wellness and skincare apps, telehealth appointment flows, and e-commerce landing pages where you need section headers and empty states to feel present without turning smoky. It also sits nicely behind lifestyle imagery for beauty brands because it won't fight the subject or drift into beige.
Pair it with cooler whites or soft lavender grays for body text. If you add too much warm cream, it starts to blur toward dusty mauve instead of staying lucid.
