Neon Yellow
#cfff04
Electric highlight with lime-green undertone, sharper than Chartreuse
About Neon Yellow
I keep Neon Yellow like a highlighter sitting just off the page. It's not that lime-greensweet spot you get with Lime Zest, and it doesn't feel as cool-signal as Atomic Lime or Chartreuse. This one reads as Neon Yellow with a lean toward yellow undertone, so the green stays sharper and less "leafy," even when it's screaming on a dark screen.
In production, it's the shade I reach for when a UI needs fast recognition without slipping into the "active alert" territory Atomic Lime can carry. Think ad-tech and logistics dashboards that want a clear threshold indicator, inventory heatmaps, or media CMS status tags where green-only tones start looking too calm. On streaming and news sites, I'll use it for live labels and map overlays where you need the kind of color that stays legible at a glance against deep blacks or cool grays.
One caution: because the yellow bias is strong, it can overpower greens in the same component set. If you're pairing it, anchor it with a cooler background or give it a small dose of neutral spacing so it doesn't flatten everything nearby.
