About Puffy Cloud

Puffy Cloud looks like a light purple laid over a bright, milky sky. On my screen it reads noticeably softer than , less periwinkle-cold and more cottony. And compared to Fly a Kite, it keeps a steadier lavender tint instead of feeling too playful or kite-tail airy.

I use Puffy Cloud when the background needs to feel calm and friendly without drifting into the mauve-gray mood of . It's great for onboarding and settings screens in healthcare and wellness apps, especially behind illustrations, form headers, and empty-state callouts. It also holds up in light skincare or consumer packaging mockups where you want a purple-family backdrop that stays softly tinted and doesn't go periwinkle-glassy.

One quirk: it can wash out beside very pale blues. Pair it with cool grays or soft cream whites so the lavender stays present, the one you reach for when you want "gentle" instead of "icy."
