Light Grey
#d8dcd6
Clean, neutral light grey with slight coolness
About Light Grey
On my monitor, Light Grey looks like a freshly painted wall right after it's been rolled, not dusty, not cloudy. It reads lighter and steadier than the softer misty grays nearby, and it holds its neutrality without the "picked" feel you get from the slightly denser decision-maker tones.
Compared to Misty Marsh, it feels less muted and more cleanly set, with a calmer surface that doesn't sink into haze. Compared to Flip a Coin, it's less assertive, more background-first, and less likely to make cards feel chosen rather than just present. It also stays cool and low-undertone, so it doesn't drift yellow the way Gin does.
I like Light Grey for dashboards and UI shells where you want breathing room but still need structure behind tables, forms, and settings panels. Use it with medium-cool text grays and crisp borders, because it can blur into other pale neighbors fast if you let everything get too close in value.
