About Second Wind

Second Wind reads like a clean, cloud-soft gray that still holds a hint of warmth. It's not as sea-glass airy as , and it doesn't carry the sharper, cooler discipline of . Compared with , it feels less blue-leaning and less present, more like a muted pause than a cool wash.

For light-mode UI, I use it as the background layer when you want calm that stays readable behind controls, especially in healthcare portals, patient forms, and admin screens where disabled states need to look quiet but not tired. It also works well in dashboards and finance apps where the layout should recede, letting typography and charts do the talking, not the gray.

One quirk: because it's slightly warmer and softer than the other nearby grays, pair it with crisper neutral surfaces for cards and separators, or the whole page can start to feel too samey.
