Mauve
#e0b0ff
Soft mauve lilac for calm, airy interfaces
About Mauve
Mauve is what I think of when I see a studio key light hit a matte lilac ceramic glaze. It reads distinctly purple, but it's dressed in a softer, dustier veil than Diva, and it doesn't have Beefy Pink's warm gray seriousness.
This shade is light and moderately saturated, with a gentle cool undertone that stays calm in motion. I use it for content cards and section headers in consumer lifestyle and beauty apps, especially when you need the purple identity to hold up without drifting toward the chalkier cool of Neon Boneyard. It's also a great pick for wellness and education UI where you want the one you reach for to feel friendly, not clinical. In print and ads, it photographs consistently, giving you a mauve that looks planned rather than accidental.
Pair it with warm creams or cool gray-lilacs. Put it next to Beefy Pink and the temperature gap becomes obvious fast.
