Cookie Crust
#e3b258
Muted golden-green for soft, dry highlights
About Cookie Crust
Cookie Crust sits in that awkward middle ground between gold and tan, and it works because it doesn't try to be either one. It's softer and more muted than Crisps, with less of that insistent warmth, there's actual brown in here, not just desaturated yellow. Where Crisps still reads as "gold energy," this one feels more like a neutral that happens to lean warm.
You'll land it on product packaging, editorial headers, and dashboard accents where you need something that settles into the background without disappearing. It pairs cleanly with warm grays, natural wood, and even cooler neutrals in ways that brighter golds struggle with. Unlike Baklava, which has that honey-amber punch to it, Cookie Crust is quieter, it won't compete for attention the way Cheesy Cheetah demands it.
The thing: test it small before committing. On very light backgrounds it reads richer than you'd expect from the hex value. On warm or heavily saturated grounds it can flatten, so you might need either darker text or smaller applications. But when it works, it's the one that feels inevitable.
