Redstone
#e46b71
Lighter, softer red-coral for gentle emphasis
About Redstone
Redstone looks like a sun-baked red-orange sticker on a screen, slightly dusty instead of juicy, and it lands closer to "red" than the softer oranges nearby. Compared with Old Heart, it's cleaner and less bruised, so it reads more intentional than half-warm and muted. Compared with Pastrami, it carries more red heat and less peach blush lift, so it feels more assertive than friendly. Versus Coral Commander, it's still strong, but it doesn't feel as oversaturated or as forward in that red-orange middle.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when the primary accent needs to feel urgent without turning into Coral Commander's louder presence. Think payment status states, risk or alert tags, and CTA buttons in fintech and logistics portals where you want attention that's firm, not flashy. It's also handy in media interfaces for progress emphasis, like highlight bars on video or story playback UI. the one you reach for when you've found Coral Commander too intense, but the softer oranges feel like they're holding back.
Pair it with off-whites, warm grays, or charcoal. On large fills it can feel a bit "dry," so keep it to states, highlights, and key controls.
