Old Heart
#e66a77
Warm, muted rose-coral for soft alerts and accents
About Old Heart
Old Heart looks like a lipstick stain left on a warm mug, not like a fresh paint chip. Compared to Coral Commander, it's less "red-orange middle" and less eager to shout. It lands deeper and more muted, with a slightly bruised, heart-warm undertone that keeps it from feeling like pure coral.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when I want urgency without the flash. It works well on toast confirmations, error highlights in workflow tools, and that one primary action button you need to stand out but still feel controlled. In media design, it's great for play-state accents and headline underlines where you want attention to hold through the scroll. The one you reach for when Breeze of Chilli feels too reserved, but Coral Commander feels too pushy.
Pair it with soft sand, warm off-whites, or charcoal grays. On big surfaces it can feel heavy, so keep it to UI moments and highlights rather than full backgrounds.
