Pumpkin Cat
#eb7b07
Higher-saturation pumpkin orange with dusty-yellow warmth
About Pumpkin Cat
Pumpkin Cat looks like a bright orange tabby fur pattern under warm light, but the edge is cleaner than most "hot orange" swatches. It's lighter than Martian Colony and Retro Nectarine, with a more even glow that doesn't read dusty or peachy. Compared to Orange Crush, it keeps a steadier yellow-lean and feels less juice-slick, more like a controlled, friendly tangerine glow.
I reach for it when the UI needs orange presence without the sharper red snap that Orange Crush brings. It's great for grocery and meal-kit category headers, shipping and delivery state banners, and product tiles in retail and travel apps where you want momentum but not urgency. Use it for onboarding steps, promo chips, and media thumbnails in e-commerce and streaming surfaces that sit near neutrals and need a cheery anchor.
One quirk: on very pale yellows it can flatten, so I'll pair it with deeper warm grays or a darker orange border to keep the shape from softening. This is the one you reach for when you want "orange cat" energy that still behaves like a design color, not a warning label.
