About Red Ribbon
On a checkout screen, Red Ribbon reads like a red that's been pulled slightly toward fruit and punch, not toward the cooler, more restrained confidence of Barberry. It has a clean, saturated bite, but its attitude is less "heated alarm pulse" than Enraged, and less dried, pantry-tang than Pickled Radish. Think pure red-forward energy with a tighter, more focused tone.
I use it when the UI needs urgency that still feels deliberate, especially in commerce banners, payment step confirmations, and offer expiry timers across retail and subscription apps. It also works for product promo thumbnails in streaming and ecommerce landing pages where you want instant legibility without drifting into the grabbier magenta heat of Enraged or the brickier sourness of Pickled Radish. The one you reach for when you want "red" to land as a call to act, not a mood swing.
Quirk: on very warm creams it can start to feel a touch sweeter, so I'll often balance it with cooler off-whites or muted charcoal to keep it crisp.
