Garlic Butter
#eddf5e
Lighter buttery chartreuse for soft, readable highlights
About Garlic Butter
Garlic Butter looks like a soft lick of warm yellow with a green wink, not a sharp lemon edge. It's lighter and more buttery than the crisper Goldfinch, and it carries less sparkly "metal" snap than Glitter Is Not Gold. Compared with Flame Seal, it feels rounder and less pointed, like it got a little time to mellow instead of flashing bright.
I use Garlic Butter when the UI needs "go" that still feels approachable. It's great for dashboards and finance apps where status chips, step progress, and checkout confirmations need to read clearly without turning aggressive. You'll also see it work in retail and media product cards, especially for promo tags and highlighted thumbnails where you want a friendly, cooked-in warmth rather than a sun-quick flare.
Pair it with leafy greens that are deeper or slightly gray so the green undertone doesn't blur into nearby chart colors. On very white backgrounds it can read a touch creamy, so keep surrounding text contrast intentional.
