Lick and Kiss
#ee5577
Slightly lighter, pink-forward red for friendly emphasis
About Lick and Kiss
Lick and Kiss looks like a candy-coated red that's still dry and crisp, not berry-syrupy and not bubblegum-soft. Compared with Heather Berry's lifted, defined core, this one feels a touch more saturated and more "pulse" than "spill." And unlike Hindu Lotus, it doesn't read as red-jewel and petal-tinted, it comes off cleaner and louder.
In UI, this is the kind of shade I reach for when the message needs to land fast without tipping into the deep heat of Infrared-style alerts. I've used it for dashboards and finance apps where you want flagged rows to pop against dense tables, plus retail ops for payment holds, contract exceptions, and high-priority "review now" chips. It also works in streaming moderation queues and media thumbnails where a direct, high-visibility state matters more than a rosy highlight.
Quirk: on very warm surfaces it can skew a bit toward pink, so I keep it paired with cool grays or neutral whites to hold the hierarchy versus the other reds nearby.
