Hindu Lotus
#ee4d83
Soft orchid-red lotus tone for balanced warmth
About Hindu Lotus
I think of Hindu Lotus as a red that looks inked with a soft petal tint. It lands on the lighter side of the Red family, but unlike Flamboyant Flamingo it stays more "red-jewel" than creamy highlight. And compared with Diva Pink, it doesn't drift all the way into bubblegum softness, it keeps a firmer red core.
In UI, this is the one you reach for when you want attention without the sharper alarm feel of Infrared. I've used it for order states and shipment issues in retail and logistics consoles, especially in dense admin tables where you still want the row to feel urgent, not hot. It also works for streaming thumbnails and media ops labels where the alert needs to read fast, but the surrounding UI is already loud.
Quirk: on very warm surfaces it can tip slightly more rosy, so it may feel more "nudge" than "incident." Pair it with cool grays or clean whites to keep that red core steady.
