Zeus’s Bolt
#eeff00
Neon yellow-green edge for high-contrast gray UI
About Zeus’s Bolt
Zeus's Bolt looks like a bright citrus streak that stays on the right side of chartreuse, not gold. Compared with Sour Yellow, it's less "canary label" clean and more assertive in its yellow body. Compared with High Voltage, it doesn't feel like it's crackling or demanding instant action, even though it's just as attention-ready. And next to Banana Flash, it holds a sharper, slightly more lime-leaning cast instead of drifting toward warm.
I reach for Zeus's Bolt when I want high-visibility emphasis without triggering full-on alarm behavior. Think supply-chain and logistics monitoring screens, e-commerce promo modules, and internal admin tables where you're flagging a step is waiting or needs review, not screaming "critical." It also works in editorial and UI overlays for shipment callouts and CTA highlights where you want punch, but not the cooler, more urgent feel of the other bright yellows.
Quirk: it can look almost neon beside soft grays, so I usually temper it with cooler, slightly deeper neutrals to keep it from feeling too "greenish" at small sizes.
