Foundation White

Foundation White sits just barely off pure white, close enough that you won't think twice about it in most contexts, but with enough lavender undertone to keep it from reading as dead neutral. It's warmer than Ghost White, cooler than Errigal White, and it doesn't announce either direction. The kind of color that works harder than it looks because it stays out of the way while still having a point of view.

Reach for this in interfaces where you need a soft backdrop without the clinical feel: design and creative tools, light mode dashboards, productivity apps, healthcare platforms where a touch of warmth matters. It works for body text, form fields, secondary navigation, anywhere you want approachable but minimal. Unlike Ghost White's aggressive neutrality or Cloud Break's more obvious purple lean, Foundation White finds the middle ground without feeling wishy-washy.

Pair it with warm grays and mid-tone accents and you've got a cohesive, human-feeling palette. Push it next to cooler blues and you'll start to see that undertone whisper, which tells you something useful about visual hierarchy.
